How Do I Prepare Photos For Scanning and E-Mail?
1. Gently remove surface dust and dirt from your photo with a lint free photo wipe.

2. If you are scanning from your scanner,
----- make sure scanner glass is clean, using a lint free wipe if needed.
----If you do not have a scanner, you can take your photos to just about any office supply store
------or copy center to be scanned. Cost varies, but usually is minimal.

3.
Scanning instructions -
------Always scan in color mode (RGB color), even if your photo is black and white.
------Turn off any photo enhancing options you may have. This tends to distort the photo.
------Scan photo at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI @ 100% uncompressed original size
-------------for quality restoration, enhancement, manipulation, and card services.
------Scan photo at 600 DPI or greater if you want enlargements of your photo.

4.
Saving scanned photo -
------We prefer you save your image in TIFF format for best quality image. TIFF is a lossless
-------------format, meaning there will be no data lost from its original image when saved.
------You can also use JPEG, if TIFF is not an option available to you. JPEG creates
-------------a smaller file size, which is sometimes necessary, by compression of data.
------------ Crisp quality loss occurs during compression.
-------It is important that you save your images with a name we can recognize as your images.
-------The file name for your images should have your personal name in it, such as:
-------------(first initial)(last name)(photo #).TIFF, Example: tsmith5.tiff
------------ This will correspond to your order information and keep us organized.
